Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
