Intensive Russian Attacks Cut Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the G7 - in supplying protection systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were hurt.

The attacks succeed evenings of air raids in the region, portions of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
