Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in specific - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden trophy since the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after spring of that year.
Victory also signifies he has secured 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring emotional displays on court had caused commentators to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
The champion came back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, winning 4 of the final five games to take the lead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden tour championship, seized the initiative to create a decider.
He rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the win with a point at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
